16-18 November 2021, ISOC On-line. 
ISOC Armenia Chapter members took part in the Internet Society Community Week from 16 to 18 November. It provided an opportunity to meet Internet Society members from around the world, to showcase the work of our chapter, and to discover the work done by other chapters, organization members, individual members, and our global special interest groups. 
The setup of the event is that of a theme park featuring various "community attractions" and events including live sessions, community lounges for networking, exhibition booths, and much more. 
We were able to choose to attend on the day that best fits our time zone. 
Armenia Chapter has its booth where it demonstrated the Chapter achievements.

28 October 2021. Yerevan, Armenia. ISOC Armenia Chapter members took part in the “Digital transformation: In touch with tomorrow” conference, which included the following topics: Technologies to bridge digital divide, Broadband Development in Armenia, Connecting the unconnected: bridging digital divide, Community Networks, Digital skills development as a driver of connectivity demand creation, Government approach to digital skills development
ISOC Armenia Chapter presented its program of digital skills training for 60+ people.

21 October 2021. Yerevan, Armenia. ISOC Armenia Chapter members took part in the Webinar devoted to the Global Encryption Day.

8 October 2021. Yerevan, Armenia. ISOC Armenia Chapter was the co-organizer of the 6th Armenian IGF.

20 September 2021. ISOC on-line. Internet Society accepted Armenia’s Chapterthon 2021 project.

18-19 September 2021. Yerevan, Armenia. ISOC Armenia Chapter organized the 5th Armenian School on Internet Governance (ArmSIG5).

June 14, 2021. ISOC online. Nick Hyrka presented his estimation of the ISOC Armenia Chapter activity:
- The ISOC Armenia chapter is a Gigabit-level chapter in good standing with approximately 43 active members

- The chapter’s documentation is current
- The chapter roles were filled at the time of the call; it was however noted that terms for several appointed AMS Admins had expired in the AMS (MemberNova) and need to be extended 
- Elections are also in order following the correction made in the chapter records of the next scheduled election dates in 2022
- Regarding activities:
a. The chapter needs to update and submit its future-looking, 12-month planned activities at the earliest convenience
b. The chapter is very active and is encouraged to post past-performed activities
c. The chapter is encouraged to consider developing further activities this year that support the Internet Society’s Internet Growth and Strength areas as noted in our 2021 Action Plan
- The chapter is also taking part in the 2021 Fundamentals program
- On funding, the chapter applied for 2021 chapter admin funds and will participate in Chapterthon

Armenia Chapter's Board meeting took place, where an application for the Chapterthon 2021 programme, named "Digitized internet-connected rural libraries with WiFi access points for library visitors as community network nodes", was considered, approved, and recommended for presenting to the Internet Society.

May 30, 2021. Yerevan, Armenia. There was an Armenia Chapter Board meeting where the Board listened to the Chapter 2020 activity and financial report. The report was approved.

May 30, 2021. ISOC on-line. Armenia Chapter submitted the final report of the project "Rehabilitation of disabled people, retired athletes, pensioners, jobless school graduates by training them in Internet literacy, social networks and setting-up new businesses/start-ups in the Republic of Armenia".

May 21, 2021. ISOC on-line. Armenia Chapter Board members took part in the Internet Society European Region Spring Social event “Ask Vint Anything”. Recognized as one of the “Founding Fathers of the Internet”, Internet pioneer and recipient of multiple honorary degrees and awards such as the Turing Award, the US Presidential Medal of Freedom, Marconi Prize, and the Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering, Vint was answering Chapter members' questions.

May 06, 2021. ISOC on-line. Armenia Chapter Board members took part in the Q2 European Chapters Call. The Call was oriented on informing Chapters on the European policy landscape, introducing the Internet Society’s new Director for European Government and Regulatory Affairs External Engagement, and updates from the Chapter Advisory Council Steering Committee.

May 15, 2020. Yerevan, Armenia. Internet Society Armenia Chapter Board meeting took place, where the Preident report on 2018-19 activity report was presented and approved. The Board decided to call the General meeting, where the President and Board members will be elected for the next 2 year period, on the 29th of May.

May 10, 2020. Yerevan, Armenia. Internet Society Armenia Chapter had successfully submitted the “Internet literacy for vulnerable groups” program interim report.

May 7, 2020. Global ISOC office. Armenia Chapter members Anna Karakhanyan, Lianna Galstyan, and Katarina Gevorgyan took part  in the ISOC call "Privacy issues in the aftermath of Covid-19", focused on issues relating to privacy, security, trust, and the technical solutions being proposed for tracking and tracing Covid-19 contagion.

April 30, 2020. Yerevan, Armenia. The Social Media Marketing course of “Internet literacy for vulnerable groups”program provided by Ani Dallakyan had sucsessfully finished.

April 23, 2020. Yerevan, Armenia. Internet Society Armenia Chapter and Armenia Internet Registry (ISOC.am), in cooperation with ITU, organized an online webinar entitled "Overcoming Digital Challenges" within the framework of #GirlsinICT. The invited experts talked about the digital, educational and business challenges created under COVID-19 and about the technologies and digital tools that can be used to overcome these challenges.

April 11, 2020. Yerevan, Armenia. Within the framework of the “Internet literacy for vulnerable groups” program, the participants were invited to think about the business idea and present a short description of their idea, answering the following questions:
- Business description
- The purpose of the business
- Product or Service Description:
- Target group - Who is it for (for example, children, adults, women, men ...)
The survey will be needed to work with more practical examples in the classroom.

March 25. 2020. Yerevan, Armenia. The newly opened Facebook page of Karen Matosyan's (a participant of the “Internet literacy for vulnerable groups”program) named“HISTORICAL COUNTRY TOUR”idea was presented. Karen's idea was one of the first in the program and could motivate other participants.

March 24, 2020. Yerevan, Armenia. Program lectures, which have been postponed because of coronavirus, forced the Chapter to continue teaching in a new way, using telecommunications via the Zoom video conferencing system. Lianna Galstyan will conduct the lectures of "Internet Literacy" via Zoom video conference.

Within the framework of the “Internet literacy for vulnerable groups”programISOC Armenia chapter started Internet Literacy course lectures that includes the "rules" of safe and secure use of the Internet for business purposes, the basics of intellectual property, domain names and other important issues.

They were discussed. Some were supported, other criticized and changes proposed. These ideas will be the starting points for business coaches.

February 24, 2020. Yerevan, Armenia. Armenia Chapter announced a survey on the evaluation of the lecture course “How to start and manage your own business”.

February 24, 2020. Yerevan, Armenia. Vahan Misakyan conducted a lecture on basic knowledge in computer literacy for participants of “Internet literacy for vulnerable groups”program.Topics of the lecture: operating systems, browsers,Microsoft office.

February 20, 2020. Yerevan, Armenia. Business Support Center had finished the lecture course “How to setup and manage a private business” which consisted of four lectures.

February 13, 2020. Yerevan, Armenia. ISOC Armenia Chapter announced the participation in the Internet Society training program. Lianna Galstyan was assigned the role of the coordinator. A call for participation was sent to the chapter's member mailing list, put on the chapter's facebook page and the chapter web page.

February 3, 2020. Yerevan, Armenia. ISOC Armenia Chapter Board meeting took place where the Internet Society training program was discussed. The Board planned to participate in the program, announce it  and select applied members.

January 19, 2020. Yerevan, Armenia. ISOC Armenia Chapter started the "Digital Media and Business Skills" part of the “Internet literacy for vulnerable groupsprogram”, which will provide participants the basic knowledge in business planning.

November 14, 2019. Yerevan, Armenia. ISOC Armenia Chapter received a grant of the Beyond the Net Small Grants Programme of the Internet Society. The project to be done with RINA Armenia innovative company is devoted to the Lecture course "Introduction to RINA, the Internet of Tomorrow".

November 14-15, Tbilisi, Georgia. ISOC AM Chapter President, Igor Mkrtumyan, and a founding member, Valery Stepanyan, took part in the Community Network Summit, where Georgian, Greek, Spanish and Kyrgyzstan Chapters reported their achievements in the Community Network installation in their countries.
 

November 12, 2019. Yerevan, Armenia. ISOC Armenia Chapter submitted the report on the Chapterthon 2019 project "Connecting unconnected schools, libraries and disabled people public organizations of Armenia to the Internet".

November 08, 2019. Yerevan, Armenia. Within the framework of the Worldwide Global Media and Information Literacy Week 2019 ISOC Armenia Chapter hosted the media education teachers round table and provided prizes to the best teachers of informatics. Prizes were presented by Narine Khachatryan, director of Media educatrion center and Ani Dallakyan, board member of the Armenia chapter.

November 7, 2019. Yerevan, Armenia. ISOC Armenia Chapter received a grant of the Beyond the Net Medium an Large Grants Programme of the Internet Society. The project is devoted to the "Rehabilitation of disabled people, retired athletes, pensioners, jobless school graduates by training them in Internet literacy, social networks and setting-up new businesses/start-ups in the Republic of Armenia".

October 24, 2019. Geneva, Switzerland. ISOC Armenia Chapter took part in the "InterCommunity 2019: A Global Discussion on Community Networks" webinar.

October 12, 2019. Yerevan, Armenia. ISOC Armenia Chapter together with Armenia Internet Registry organized a Universal Acceptance Technical Training that was carried out by UASG Vice Chair Dusan Stojicevic.

October 12, 2019. Yerevan, Armenia. ISOC Armenia Chapter together with Armenia Internet Registry took part in the 4th EEDNS forum. The agenda of the forum included: Developments in the DNS ecoystem, Issues and challenges impacting domain name, DNS security: performance measurement and best practices, DNS security: promoting security as a state of mind.

September 30, 2019. Yerevan, Armenia. ISOC Armenia Chapter took part in the ISOC webinar "How to Prepare a Successful Video" for the Chapterthon 2019 project. 

September 23-25, Tsakhkadzor, Armenia. "Innovative Libraries 2019" workshop was held in Tsakhkadzor, with the participation of the Chapter project "Computers and Services for rural libraries" leader Vahan Misakyan. He presented to the workshop participants the purpose of the Rural Libraries of Armenia project, the activities that was carried out and future plans. Workshops discussed ways to develop libraries in Armenia and the Chapter role in the process.

August 23, 2019. ISOC Armenia Chapter is awarded a grant of the Chapterthon 2019 Programme for its Connecting The Unconnected project. The project aims to help vulnerable groups, rural schools, and libraries, connect them to the Internet and provide Wi-Fi access.

July 2, 2019. Yerevan, Armenia. There was an ISOC Armenia Chapter meeting with the 1OfU startup team members which created a mobile application for autistic children to overcome their communication problems. ISOC Armenia Chapter within the framework of its policy of helping the vulnerable groups of people supported the participation of the team in the EMERGE contest where they won a prize.

June 27, 2019. Yerevan. Armenia ISOC Armenia Chapter took part in the Chapterthon 2019 information session.

May 28, 2019. Yerevan. Armenia. ISOC Armenia Chapter participated in the Q2 European Chapters Call - Encryption and the Internet and the update from Chapter Advisory Council Steering Committee.

May 9-11, 2019. Bucharest. Romaina. Ani Dallakian, Internet Society Armenia Chapter Board Member took part in the European Chapters meeting and reported on Armenia Chapter’s plans, implemented and upcoming projects.

May 6, 2019. Yerevan. Armenia.  I.Mkrtumyan took part in the seminar organized by the Armenian General Benevolent Union, devoted to the problems of:
-
Reducing poverty in vulnerable groups (elderly, persons with disabilities, children, single mothers);
- Ensuring employment of uncompetitive people in the labor market, social enterprises.
The aim of participation was the development of a proposal aimed to teach vulnerable groups to use Internet to earn money on-line.

April 5, 2019. Yerevan. Armenia. There was an Armenia Chapter Board meeting with the following agenda:
Discussion of the Chapter participation in the work of Internet Governance Council and election of the Chapter representative in the Council.
Chapter Board Chair, Lianna Galstyan, was chosen as the Chapter representative in the IGC.

April 3, 2019. Yerevan. Armenia. There was an Armenia Chapter Board meeting with the following agenda:
1. Chapter Performance Evaluation Criteria
2. Internet report 2019. How will consolidation impact the Internet’s technical evolution and use?
3. 2020 Action Plan Development process
4. Development of Armenia Chapter 2019 action plan

After a discussion the following 2019 action plan was approved:
1. National Internet community conference: Girls in ICT
2. Round table of NGOs working on problems of disabled people
3. National 2019 IGF (Co-organizer)
4. Participation in National Broadband Strategy development
5. Participation in the work of Internet Governance Council.

March 21, 2019. Internet Society. Armenia Chapter responsible members took part in the Internet Society Community on-line Call where 2020 Action Plan Development process were introduced.

March 12, 2019. Yerevan. Armenia. A Seminar on the problems of people with disabilities took place in the Internet Society Armenia Chapter.The Chapter’s volunteer Mariam Gyozalian represented the “Zero Project Report” on Accessibility about the projects implemented in several European countries in 2018. The discussions were about the accessibility problems of people with disabilities, possible solutions, the facilitation of their lives and their full integration into society. The represented and discussed projects were realistic for applying in Armenia.

February 11, 2019. Yerevan. Armenia. President of ISOC Armenia Chapter, Igor Mkrtumyan, took part in the  meeting with the World Bank Digital Development team aiming to initiate advisory and analytical work on broadband market development in Armenia. The team introduced the EU4Digital trust-funded activity on broadband strategy development to support Eastern Partnership countries and will undertake a preliminary assessment of the potential for improving cross-border and regional telecommunications connectivity.

February 7, 2019. Yerevan. Armenia. ISOC Armenia Chapter presented 2018 Chapter Admin Funds report to the BeyondTheNet program department.

January 28-30, 2019. Geneva, Switzerland. ISOC Armenia Chapter Board Chair Lianna Galstyan participated in the First Open Consultations and MAG Meeting.

November 21, 2018. Yerevan, Armenia. Igor Mkrtumyan, on behalf of the Internet Society Armenia Chapter, submitted his vote for the #Chapterthon2018. In total 43 Chapters participated in the challenge and the winner will be announced during the #InterCommunity2018 scheduled on 4 December 2018.

November 1, 2018. Yerevan, Armenia. ISOC Armenia Chapter and ISOC AM NGO launched a website and Facebook page of rural libraries of Armenia.

October 31, 2018. Yerevan, Armenia. Internet Society Armenia Chapter completed the project of Chapterthon 2018 "IoT lecture course oriented on Arduino controllers".  The 3-level lecture course (Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced) formed a basis of future training of a big number of IoT professionals. The final report and a video of the project are attached.

October 10, 2018. Yerevan, Armenia. Internet Society Armenia Chapter together with ISOC AM NGO took part in the 4th national Internet Governance Forum.

Frederick Donck, director for the European Regional Bureau of ISOC, Alexandra Kulikova, the Head of Global Stakeholder Engagement for Eastern Europe & Central Asia at ICANN and Markus Kummer, Chairman of the Internet Governance Forum Support Association (IGFSA), were the key-note speakers at the opening of the forum.

October 8, 2018. Yerevan, Armenia. ISOC AM Chapter President I.Mkrtumyan took part as a jury member in the Innovation Projects Contest of EURASEC countries. The contest was organized within the framework of DIGITEC 2018 exhibition.

September 28, 2018. Yerevan, Armenia. Internet accessibility center  of the House of Culture of Blind and Visually impaired people created by the Internet Society Armenia Chapter and ISOC AM NGO was named after recently passed away Vice-President of the ISOC AM NGO, Armen Nazaryan. Many people including guests from Moscow took part in the solemn ceremony.

May 10, 2018. Yerevan, Armenia. A founding meeting of the Internet Society Armenia Chapter took place. The Charter was approved. The President and the Board were elected.

April 12, 2018. Yerevan, Armenia. There was an ISOC AM Board meeting where the Board approved a separation of the ISOC Armenia chapter from ISOC AM NGO and development of a new organizational charter.

March 9, 2018. Yerevan, Armenia. ISOC AM informs with a great sorrow that ISOC AM Vice-President Armen Nazaryan unexpectedly passed away on March 9, 2018. We express our deepest condolences to Armen's family.

January 20, 2018. Yerevan, Armenia. Internet Society NGO launched the second edition of the Armenian School on Internet Governance. The school duration is 5 months.
